Sunday,Dec 10 2006, 11:46:40 PM The Season of Love!
Christmastime
and all that the Holiday Season entails is quickly upon us. It is my
favorite time of year and although I feel like a child again in these
days, I see others who are miserable. I hear comments like"it Is too
Commercialized"!!! You have no idea how many times I hear this phrase
come out of others mouths, If I could count the number of times-I would
be rich(heh, heh). I must admitt that when I do hear it, I feel a bit
angry inside. I believe that we choose the way we live on this earth.
If we choose to dislike Christmas then it is our own choosing. You see,
WE have a choice to be happy and spread love and get caught up in the
excitement and energy of the reason for the season. Do people simply
give up and decide to claim this simple negative phrase? Yes, they do!.
I understand that there are those who worry about finaces and losses of
loved ones around this time. I have been there myself, so I really do
understand. But unlike, "The scrooges" on this earth, I choose to look
at this time differently. What other time can we feel the Love and
sacrifice of Jesus and be reminded of the miracles and witness and be a
apart ot the humanity that embraces us all, If we let it.
It
is a time for celebration and it is our choosing to "Commercialize" it
or not. I choose to enjoy the parades, the movies of old and new, the
time spent with family and friends, the treats and giving of gifts(they
dont have too cost much) and the music and whispers of the angels. You
CAN hear the singing of the heavenly choir, if you stop complaining
long enough and listen. You can see the humanity and care of those who
reach out to others, if you forget your own problems long enough to
realize that there is someone out there who has it much worst than you
do. You can witness the miracle of the opportunities to love and
embrace one another, if you unfold your stubborn arms and let them in.
So, why not curl up with those you love and watch a Christmas movie or
help a needy neighbor; why not remember what God gave us on this day
and enjoy the chance to share that with others. WHY NOT, choose to be
happy and make this Christmas a time to remember and be proud of.
Yes,
Virginias of this world -there really is a Santa Clause and his name is
Jesus. He is also clothed in red and white, which represents the blood
He shed on Calvary and the purity of Himself and washing of our sins.
My Santa clause also gives me many gifts and He has paid sooo much more
than I could ever know or repay. My Santa is Jesus and I choose to look
at this time with love and compassion, joy and laughter. I may watch
movies about Santa Clause of the world-But it is merely for
entertainment and I know HE is not real like my Santa. I pray that you
all enjoy this time with those you love and make opportunities to
embrace this Christmas.
Merry "Christ"mas to all and may you be Blessed!!! Dove(Sue)DoveinFlight(Sue)
