Dear viewers,

As you might already know, the situation in Darfur, Sudan is not getting any better.
Genocide is not to be tolerated and so, by signing this petition, you are urging
leaders in helping resolve or, at least, stabilize this problem.

Please, find it in your hearts to help others, sign the petition:

Save Darfur - go to
http://action.savedarfur.org/campaign.jsp?campaign_KEY=6300

Quoted from the site: www.savedarfur.org

- This war has been going on since 2003!!!
- Estimated 400,000 killed since Feb. 2003
- Estimated 2.5 million displaced since Feb. 2003
- Not since the Rwandan genocide of 1994 has the world seen such a calculated campaign of displacement, starvation, rape and mass slaughter.
- Approximately 10,000 people die every month.

Thank you. :-)

Tanks in Bangkok!!!! Coup d'etat
Wednesday,Sep 20 2006, 11:02:24 AM

just a quick copy of an email i just sent regarding the military coup in Bangkok last night:

no trouble down here at all... in fact there's none in bangkok either by all the accounts! the prime minister was pretty much kicked out a while ago - he's a billionaire who then made more billions by seeling shares in a gas company. he paid no tax - changing the laws so he didn't have to! he refused to go really though, coming back as a 'caretaker' prime minister. this coup has been a last resort, ordered by the king i think, who's a great man for the people here... basically everyone's very happy about what's happened. there's no violence - kids are playing on the tanks! it was timed like this because there was going to be a big demonstration against the government today in bangkok. thaksin, the prime minister, had ordered a armed forestry division to go into the city - probably to open fire on the protestors. it's happened before, when they killed about 200 students. so basically the king has saved many lives by ordering this, bless him. the soldiers have yellow arm bands to declare their allegience to the king, who the thai people adore.... so it's pretty much great news for the country. they're going to have elections soon, which the corrupt government would have interfered with, so everything will be fine.

so, that's about all here - you'd never even know it'd happened if every tv in town was tuned into it... they've installed a new prime minister, so hopefully everything will be open (embassies etc) pretty soon. the guy'd not got many supporters - so everyone's pretty happy!

well, better get off as i've got a class to teach in the morning.. thinking i might even stay here fr a bit and get some teaching experience now this has happened - should be a great time for the country i think.... just hope they can sort out the problems in the south. there's been some bombings, and the gov. were not really doing anything

i'll write mroe soon.... but sabaidee here in thaiand - happy happy!

Bangkok bound!
Wednesday,Aug 16 2006, 03:38:45 PM

Well, most people i'm in contact with will already know... but i go to bangkok on friday - with a one-way ticket!! i don't know how long i will be there.. maybe i'll go and work and/ or study in china, but think i really need to go to tibet and nepal...  into the himalayas! woooooosh!! (as well as a beach holiday or two of course!)... it looks like i could be gone from UK for a looong time!!

So, i'll still be on here, but probably not as often... and not a uk treefella anymore...mmm..maybe i'll change that now i've sold my chainsaw and all my tree climbing things.... wow.. time's truly flying.. i think it goes faster as you get older...

so... maybe i'll see some of you out there.. holiday-makers, travellers, and those that live in Asia - and wherever else i get to! Maybe just maybe New Zealand...wow.. i need to visit there someday.. maybe malaysia.. india? south america? ha, the world is mine!

Peace love and unity to all xx

yeah, im working it up even though i swore to take a hiatus from anything that involved me getting out of bed for atleast 8 months, i got bored after two weeks at home.
of course im just stopping by to show off, would you expect any less from me? (is it more or less? im never too sure).
ive also managed to go to nyc :D lived part of the dream so far, las vegas tis next..i shall gamble me up some free money.
sun shining in london? heh..i should be so lucky, actually i lie, it IS sunny but tis only as a result of the early morning frosts, its a daily risk having to walk down icy stairs with heels on.
thats enough rambling from moi methinks.
how bist china? good? im going to thailand soon as clifford chance (where i work) have a branch out there..international relations baby! i cant wait (the flashy lights are what get me, though im sure thats hong kong..?)
