God is everything
Saturday,Jul 14 2007, 11:10:29 PM

We serve an INCREDIBLE God who is EVERYTHING He claims to be. He is to be feared and should be feared by all men. I felt deeply sorry for any who do not FEAR Him as the ONE AND ONLY GOD.

He has chosen to call Himself our Father, but He is EVERY BIT God with more majesty than can be imagined on this earth. Every ounce of worship, praise and love we can give, He merits it all and so much more. He deserves our lives - He deserves all of us. He is truly worthy...worthy...worthy.

He is awesome, holy and beautiful beyond measure. Truly, what a GREAT God we serve. What a privilege we have been given to serve Him, to be called His children. What a privilege we have been given to love Him. He is holy, righteous and just - worthy of all our love. Truly, He is fearsome in His majesty.

He is God, absolutely God. He is not our puppet, He is our God. And we are His children; we belong to Him. There is no place for our personal will, it is irrelevant in the face of His glory. In His glory, we are simply absorbed into Him, into the mass of glory that makes Him God. All that we are in the natural is left behind and we are at once nothing. Yet, we are everything that He is because we are in Him and He is in us.

We are powerful as we are in Him and nothing outside of Him can make us fear or regret; we stand in Him. We are nothing in ourselves, yet mighty in Him. His power radiating through us can and will transform nations for HIS KINGDOM.

All that we do, all that we are is because of Him - He is great and we are simply a part of HIS greatness. We are made great through HIS GREATNESS.

Friendship
Wednesday,Jul 11 2007, 11:46:19 AM

Dr. John Maxwell writes: "If you want deep, lasting friendship, you cannot always be the strong one. And that can be frightening; especially if you've had someone hurt or manipulate you. But you must let a friend see you in your weakness. Some of us have never done this, and we wonder why we're lonely. We're going to have to get vulnerable to have a true friend."

Friends serve each other. When's the last time you performed an act of servant-hood for a friend to whom you're devoted? If you can't remember, you're probably living with a core of loneliness.

A friend is someone you commit to not because of what they can do for you, but just because they're your friend. And friends listen, even though they're busy. Listening is an act of love. It says 'I'm going to put my own agenda on hold and devote myself to knowing and caring for you.'

Friends are not generally looking for someone who can talk very impressively or cleverly or with great wit. Mostly what they're looking for is a world-class listener. Furthermore, when something goes right, friends celebrate. Do you do that? When's the last time one of your friends had God bless them - and you threw a party?

"If you're not in this kind of friendship right now, you can't make it happen, but you can open yourself up to it. You can start pursuing it. You can ask God to guide you. You can take little relational risks. And if you already have friends like this, prize them, protect them, enrich them in every way, and take that friendship as deep as you can."

In Him alone

"But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank" (Daniel 1:8a).

Is Daniel merely jealous for the Law of Moses here, or is there a greater motivation? The point here is really not the meat or the drink, but the purposing in Daniel's heart not to defile himself.
That there is one who would even make such a purpose is astounding, considering the circumstances. The easiest thing to do is to just go along with things, accept them as they are, and not make any trouble.
But thank God for that decision! Daniel purposed in his heart - a flame was kindled, and the longer he thought about it, the hotter the fire burned.

While the others were eating and drinking, Daniel motioned to his three friends, and whispered, "Eat mine if you will have it - but I will not sin against the Lord in this thing!" And the three brothers, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, agreed that they would not eat the meat or drink the wine either. Hallelujah! This is what the Lord is after - a small company of two or three, gathered together under a covenant that they will stand for the Testimony of the Lord, for something Heavenly, regardless of the cost!

"Father, I thank You that You are supplying all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19)
Father, I thank You that because You are my Shepherd, I shall not want...because You are my Banker, I do not want. (Ps. 23:1)
Father, I thank You that as I delight myself in You, You give me the very desires of my heart. (Ps. 37:4)
Father, I thank You that all things are mine. (1 Cor. 3:21)
Father, I thank You that as I trust in You, You give me richly all things to enjoy. (1 Tim. 6:17)
Father, I thank You that I am Your beloved child and that it is Your will above all things for me to prosper and to be in health, even as my soul prospers. (3 John 2)
Father, I thank You that as I obey and serve You, I spend my days in prosperity and my years in pleasures. (Job 36:11)
Father, I thank You that riches and wealth are Your gift to me and that every gift You give is a good and perfect gift from a good and perfect God. (Eccl. 5:19 & James 1:17)
Father, I thank You that You never change, that You are still the miracle-working God and that Jesus Christ is just the same TODAY, right now, as He was yesterday, and He'll be the same tomorrow and forevermore. (Mal. 3:6, Mark 10:27, Heb. 13:8)
Father, I thank You for blessing me with the power to get wealth, so that Your covenant can be established in this earth and in my life this day, in Jesus' Name. (Deut. 8:18)"

* The Bible declares in Psalm 136:1: 'O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever.'

God is truly a good, good, good God - He IS Love, 1 Jn. 4:8,16 says. Give thanks to God today for what He has done, what He is doing and for all that He is going to do in your life. He has only good things planned for you so thank Him for them now, by faith, and believe that you receive!
