I think Terry was the right choise... Aftar Beckham resigned from the jobb, there were only two real contenders left..

Gerard: + Hard working, good leading Ability, scores many goals, great passing foot, good tackler...

- has a tendensy to get ill tempered in big games, gets to many red cards.

Terry: + Hard working, good leading Ability, most scoring defender in the premiership, good passing foot, great tackler, never leaves the field although he is injured.

- Some times he could leave the field when injured, it leves the defence open...

I am a Liverpool fan my self, but I am an even bigger england fan... Terry is the best captain, sorry Gerard..

I think Gerrad would make a good captain. He's a great captain for liverpool and wouldve made a good captain for England too.
