1st question. what is china ink? I've never herd of it.

simply .. china ink is an " ink " that's to say it is a liquid stuff like any other liquid stuff but
its density allows me to put a pin head inside
its container then - by that pin head - i make
short crossings upon paper and so on

when did you realize you were interested in art and what did you do to nourish that facet of your life?

since i was 10 .... what i did then ? .. nothing
but looking around and drawing .. i've to say
here that i didn't drew " everything " but only
things i loved

Most of your work seems to take place in fields. Are the women in your pieces migrant workers? do you work in the fields when you aren't making art?

the women in my pieces are " farmers " they have a very femenine shapes so - as an artist and a man - l loved them
very much ... i saw and knew them not because i work in fields but because i'm working in their village as a doctor

have you had any success selling your paintings or found a way to make money doing what you love?

well ... in my country " egypt " only a very little percentage of people care about art so - along my career- one painting only of mine is sailed

are there any artists that you draw your inspiration from?

i cann't remember exactly .. that's because my inspiration comes " directly " from my environment ... this fact deosn't mean that i didn't like many artists such as .. gugan .. loutrek ..etc

where did you learn about this technique/ methodology?

it is a very old and famous one but every artist has his " personality " in using it so there are very many " results "

have you tried any other mediums or techniques?

no .... i havn't

what would you like to try if you had the chance? such as water color or film making etc...

if i had the chance ... i'd like - very much - to do sculptures

do you have any plans or do you hope to accomplish anything specifically with your art, or do you just do it for a hobby?

what an artist hopes to accomplish by doing art ? ... nothing but " doing art "... for example .. what did van goch " take " from art ? yes - of course - it is a hoppy and hoppy and hoppy
