The weather in Bagan is hot and humid during the day and cool in the early morning and late evening. Casual and light clothing (e.g. cotton) is recommended. However, visitors are requested to dress decently in religious places. Footwear are to be removed when entering religious buildings or homes. A wide assortment of lacquerware items is a must shopping in Bagan. Others ae tapestries, handicrafts, paintings, sculptures and thanaka.
