I just wanted to let you know that we have gone from 5 members to 24 in less than 24 hours (thank you Lisa for spreading the word)
The more people we can get to join and click, the more mammograms we can fund for people who don't have health insurance and can't afford them!
Please remember to only click once a day. Only one per day is counted from your computer, and if you click more than once it bogs down their system and other clicks won't register.
Thank you all for joining, and please feel free to invite others!
I just wanted to say that i think this site is awsome. It helps spread the word about breast cancer, and that is a very good idea. My step-mother was diagnosed 2 years ago with breast cancer. I saw what it did to her. She is now concidered a survivor. And now my step-fathers sister is battling breast cancer. People don't realize what it does to a person until someone close to them goes through it and they see it. Not fun. My best wishes to all...

This is terrific news! I haven't had a chance to spread the word myself yet but am working on that sometime today! Can't say enough about how important early detection is. Now, if we could only step up the availability of treatment centers! The unfortunate truth is that, even though early detection and rapid treatment have reduced the numbers of people succumbing to breast cancer, too many are unable to access the proper care and do not receive the best treatment for their condition. In light of what happened to me, I have been trying to compose the story of my recurrent breast cancer and hope to circulate it among the member of Congress here in the US. Our health care system fails too many people! Wish me luck! And if you know anyone who has had to opt for one treatment rather than another because of cost, distance to access, etc. please ask them to tell their stories also. If we remain silent, nothing ever changes! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
