i hope that everyone is aware of the importance of G8 summit thats going to take place in germany from june6-8th.
like the past summit,during this summit also, climate change is going to be the hot subject of matter.
increase of temperature by emission of greenhouse gases is going to be the particular subject of matter during G8-2007.
the actual proposal made is that asking the members of G8 to fund some percentage of their GDP annually to oversee the climate change and do something about it.
this proposal has been drawn on the lines of the commitment of these countries to fund 0.7% of their GDP to fight poverty.
but going by the reports,INDIA is likely to reject this idea of commitment reasoning that it will slow down the country's booming economy.
according to an agency,it has been estimated that the cost of adaptation would be in the range of $9-41 BILLION[depending on country's emission of greenhouse gases].

SO,WHAT I QUESTION IS THAT:
"IS IT RIGHT FOR A DEVELOPING COUNTRY TO NOT COMMIT ITSELF TO TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT JUST BECAUSE IT HAMPERS THEIR ECONOMIC GROWTH?"
