What makes You a Vampire?

as meny have seid already i think its a mix of what you find natrel to us ie no sun love the nightime and the dark and what we feel most at home with andwe choice what we are or ower mind choice what we are most at home with ...
but i think whatever you like to do is grate as long as its not dagrose to others ect then why not indeed

I do agree with the reply of Markus. We, vampires or vampyres, are differ from the mundanes especially in spiritual level. We may see some physical manifestations of the spritual identity in the material world. But this needs not to be essential.
For me, I have some traits vampires usually have. Being noctural, sensitivity to the lights and the sun, greatly paced, love of the dark, et cetera.

Sleeping during the day and being awake all night long, wanting to bite someone's neck...

I look for being immortal, and yes also nocturnal! Many of my friends feel i should change my hours of sleep and open the blinds in my house, no matter what i do i can not handle it! As far as being a Vampire I my self could only hope for such a blessing of being undead. I have been asked "why would you want to die?" silly people I dont want to "die" I want to live forever and stay young and be able to hear and see things not so common to "humans" I want to spin and dance and float under the stars. *smiles*

For me I really hate going out when the sun rise up and I hate getting sun burn easily
and I really hate the side of light I just love the darkness and I sleep in a day feels like the day is like a night and the night is like the day In the other hand its feels like you just live your life for the night And I really hate to open my courted during daylight and nightly

I feel there is something deeper to the overwhelming need to shelter our self from day and others.It may be dramatic and romantic but yet there is somehting else that draws us to be who and how we are, could this be passed on from generations as well? Example, I noticed many of the same habbits from my grandfather. He was a bit diffrent from other people, though could hide it well. My mother on the other hand i swear is very DEMONIC! If i was to pounder this daily i would surley go insane. *yet to figure out what is truley sane though* lol I can ramble , see!

As to answer this inquiry, I must say that being a vampyre goes beyond being repelled from sunlight , or being "alive" in the sense of the word , or physically immortal, it goes to an spiritual state, a state of awareness that those we call "humans" or "mortals" do not possess... and whether we choose not to sleep during the night, rather during the day inside an old coffin or in somewhere dark, damp and decadent, it is up to us, and does not make us vampyres per se...
it is who we are, it is our nature, spiritual rather than physical , what makes us who we are, this is my opinion,

i love the dark and all things dark, i love to bite ppl on the neck (but latly only my bf) and i acualy draw blood sometiems and he loves it. i'm always wearing dark cloths, agressive in the bedroom, fav color is black, i love nighttime and moons.ppl say i'm just weird and dn't fit in and hey acualy call me a vampire because i look like one in my school pic. w/e if thats what they think i'm ok with it.

My visional sensitivy to extreme light, love of darkness, weakness due to the sun {i've actually gone under epiliptical coditions-epilepsy tests negative- when i was exposed to the afternoon sun just for 'bout 10 mins}, my keen vision, sharp brain, keen sense of hearing bats, and especially my blood-lust make me an ideal vampyre!!!
