Fable 8: The Charcoal-Burner and the Fuller
9/15/2006 1:42 AM
Nathan, 19
Brisbane, Queensland
Australia

"Buongiorno, buoni cugini!" Paoli said to me as I hurried by
Hang your cloth on the tenting over there and sit awhile
Welcome to my vendita, have some coffee and apple pie
You Fullers have fast lives, the grave will be a fast mile

Live like Carbonari, slow, yet we care for each other
We may say "cugini", cousin but we are really brothers
As a Carbonaro, you must know that it is coal that I burn
I have worked my trade, but I have also another concern

By night with other Carbonari we fight the forces of evil
those that would harm us under tyranny and oppression
I ask that you would join us in this struggle, this upheaval
We are all coming together to lift us from this depression!

Whoa, whoa, dude! I just came in for coffee and pie
Now you talk revolution and mayhem, I can't join, I fear!
Why not?! You're able and strong! Are you afraid to die?
No, I've lived with my older brother and his family for years

Then you shall move in with me, I have room in my vendita
You can ply your trade, beat your cloth, white and so cuddly
I burn coal by day; then, by night, we haunt the upper strata
So, Cugini Stefano, do you want to bring Honor to your family?

Well, as you can see, my Carbonaro, I am a gentle man
I beat cloth hard, yes, but I make it soft and clean and white
Dirt and ash are harsh and nothing would be spic-and-span
My answer to you is, honor my family, remain, do what's right!

Fable 7: The Two Dogs
9/6/2006 4:19 PM
Insomnia, 37
Cairo
Egypt

Alfred Noble was happy this morning
A pair of pheasants flew over his home
He whistled for his faithful hounddog
The season is here! Let's go hunting!

Barney springs up, without hesitation
He's ready to retrieve, ready to chase
Bred in his blood, even to his wagging tail
He barks and brays with elation

The two hunters depart expecting
a delightful day in the snowy wood
while from his sofa perch in the window
Bushie sadly watches them leaving

Bushie's a West Highland White Terrier
Bred in his blood to be adorable
Though some Westies are stubborn and a terror
Not Bushie; he's cute, bright, and loveable

Through the fog of the window, something moved
Bushie jumps up and peers to be certain
Yes it is! Master returns! And with food!
He yips and yaps to sound the clarion

Alfred and Barney come into the home
Two tired hunters frozen to the bone
Pleasing the family with the evening meal
Proud of their accomplished hunting skills

Bushie and Master are reunited
Master gives Bushie a special dinner
Barney growls at Bushie and complains
Pheasant for a housedog gets him excited

You sit in the house in the warmth all day
You're pampered and perfumed and powdered
You lick Master's boots at night for your pay
This is your life; This isn't work! It's play!

Sniff, sniff musky ass; Don't gnaw off your bone!
Lie down by the fire, relax and lick your balls
You are bred to hunt which you do very well
I am bred to please through no fault of my own

We are each the pleasure of our breeder
Direct your complaint to him who feeds us

Fable 6: The Boy hunting Locusts
8/26/2006 10:14 AM
Insomnia, 37
Cairo
Egypt

I'll inject your soul with my vile venom
come a little closer, boy in blue denim

You been out huntin' locusts in the sun,
It's hot, but you say it's got to be done

They've plagued your local village
Your crops, your fruits they pillaged

Now it's your turn, you and others
collect one by one with your brothers

Don't delay: Hurry, hurry
With hardly a look, don't worry

The one who collects the most today
Will take home a little extra pay

Sister could use it; she's using one eye
to see you turn 14 before she dies

Little Boy Blue, Wake up, See Here
Sticking from my ass here is a spear!

Fable5: Father and His Sons
8/10/2006 9:13 PM
Insomnia, 37
Cairo
Egypt

Join together, we must combine
To conquer a challenge of any kind
My sons, my sons, you must unite
I’ll demonstrate my concept tonight
Gather sticks, group them as one
Together strong, they hold a bond
Individually break, as weak as can be
So now, like people, you can see
The bond is strength, reliability
Uninjured by attempts from enemies
So remember this, before caused brawls,
When united we stand, but divided we fall.

Fable 4: The Lion and the Mouse
8/2/2006 12:27 AM
Insomnia, 37
Cairo
Egypt

Mouse:
You thought me weak, you thought me small,
Not a worthy meal, at all.
Laughing off my faithful vow
You sent me off with furrowed brow.

Lion:
How can such a creature be
Of any use to one like me?
Such a fool to think so big,
With bones less sturdy than a twig

Mouse:
What’s this I hear? I know that sound.
Alas! My friend tied to the ground!
With fervent speed I chew the rope
As eyes look up renewed by hope.

Lion:
My friend, I ask that you forgive
My thoughts the day I let you live.
Your strength within your spirit lies.
Here stands a giant in my eyes!

And the moral is:
Don’t pick on the little guy. He’s probably smarter than you and will save your ass one day.

Fable 3: The Ass and the Grasshopper
7/24/2006 7:12 PM
Insomnia, 37
Cairo
Egypt

So enchanted the Ass was,
when he heard the grasshoppers sing,
he could do nothing but ask,
what was the secret behind their task.

dew, the grasshoppers answered,
is the secret to our voices,
there are not many choices .

the Ass did as he was told,
something not very bold,
living only upon dew,
he died of hunger in a day or two.

Fable 2 :It is wise to turn circumstances to good account
7/16/2006 2:43 PM
Insomnia, 37
Cairo
Egypt

Yes I'd lie to save my skin
I would live and die within
When I play I play to win
Shielded by my veil of thin
Deceits

When I'm up at you I'll frown but
When you catch me on the ground
I'll rise quick and smile around and
Then I'll tell you what you've found

I'll hide my teeth and close my wings
And I will tell you pleasant things
If it's a mouse that you'd set free
Then it's a mouse that I shall be

But if you hate the rodents smell
I shall become the bird from hell
You'll set me free, and quick at that
When once you see that I'm a bat

Yes I'd lie to save my health
Lie for girls and lie for wealth
Though by chance you may defeat me
My lies mean that you won't eat me!

Some say that my life is wise
Some say I'm to be despised
If I may, myself surmise
I would but say "I'm still alive"

Fable 1: The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny
7/11/2006 8:49 AM
Insomnia, 37
Cairo
Egypt

In a forest far and away, a wolf was wandering hungry and cold,
In a distance an’ with blurry sight, he spotted a lamb astray from the fold,
The wolf thought to himself “ I won’t attack the lamb and satisfy my whim,
Until I find some real good plea , that justifies my right to eat him”.

The wolf moved closer then spoke with a threatening voice:
“Last year you insulted me, and thus you give me no choice”
The lamb was scared a shaken his voice was shredded and torn:
“It can’t be me, master wolf, for last year I wasn’t yet born”.

The wolf paused and shrugged then spoke in a voice raging like hell:
“You feed on my lovely pasture, an’ you drink from my pure tasty well”,
The lamb replied: “It can’t be me, master wolf, for I am very young , you see,
I only feed on my mothers milk, an’ its both food and drink to me”.

Hearing this the wolf attacked the lamb, and ate him in just one bite,
Saying:” I won’t remain hungry and be denied my god given right,
Even if you intentionally keep refuting every one of my allegations,
You’ll remain a happy meal to me, an’ I shouldn’t have given any justifications “.
