I know for me, I have to watch that I dont eat too many carbs. When I first went vegetarian my mom used to call me a carbitarian cause all I ate was pasta. Once I stopped just eating carbs and eating more beans and veggies I started losing some weight.

I know exactly how you feel. When I first went vegan it seemed i walked around bloated most of the time. A fine balance of whey protein, vegetables and bananas divided into six small meals did the trick for me. The key is to consume small meals several times a day. That eliminates the sluggish feeling that carb overload will bring.
