1) Usher isn't a hip-hop artist, but sometimes he does Hip-Hop, eg. "Yeah" his top hit (12 weeks at no.1), has to be Hip-Hop Genre dont you think?
2) Common is great. But I dont think you could classify him as Hip-Hop King, as he dosn't really compete with these..do you?
Have you a vote for this forum? there are a lot of other nice forums recently created also that you might be interested in viewing. ;)

Doing one or a few hip hop songs in your career in which you do r&b music, doesnt make you qualify to be called The Hip Hop King.... and in the music biz Snoop Dogg is known as ''The King'' well according to Pharrell... and what about jay Z... or is what he does, r&b or pop music? lol

Yeah!!
Common is good,
he has been around for quite some time doing hip hop music,
and is one of those good ''lyricists'' lol who still right good songs about things that affect people in their everyday life, and he has ''kept it real''.
It's a pity that someone has good as him are not recognised like most other rappers and lyricists.
His album is great, i mean it was produced by Kanye (a man of many talents), and Jay Z says he thinks Common is great, so who are we to argue....
Is Jay Z in the list??
