Hi Precious...

"There is no place like home"...

"Home" = Family.. there is really no place like your own home, its a place where u find your peace of mind & happiness; where everyone truly love each other...

"Home" = own country ; there is no place like ur own country, the people and culture you've been growing with...

have a blessed day!

It's really very simple. the first thing you have to realize is that whether you are Filipino or American, or Russian or any race, they all say the same thing. Meaning its only true for the person. Simply put, its subjective.
The reason why is, where ever you grew up in, your mind contained all the memories of that place including all the good times and the not so good times. It is imprinted in your long term memory and it was locked in into long term memory thanks to Emotions. Emotions are chemicals produced by the hypothalamus in the brain and its job is to lock in something into long term memory. that explains why when you say something "There is no place like home" it triggers the memory and you get flooded with all the feelings and emotions along with the memories and experiences which relate to your definition of home, in this case where you grew up or where anyone grew up in.
There you go, I hope it helps...

Most people have a house or residence, but it takes a heart and soul to make a home.
