Well i would say both r good in their place, but David Gilmore has more commercial like hits & Roger Waters is hardcore Floyd.

I like both too.. i love Water's Lyrics and haunted rhythms.. and love Gilmour for His Talent in Sweet Guitar sound and his Great Improvisation..

They are yin and yang to each other. The combination of Waters' lyrics and creative drive and Gilmour's guitar solos makes me giddy at the knees :P

David Gilmour for me too, his soft dulcet tones on both vocals and guitar are just mind numbing. Although being a guitarist myself, and playing oodle's of floyd is why i am probably more biassed toward Gilmour.

Water a talent in his own right, has a strong sense of direction, and i ithink is a much better solo artist, although i wouldn't take anything away from his input to what has Pink Floyd what they are.

arnold layne....see emily play....bike....although he wasnt with the band long he contributed some classics as the founder and sole reason for them putting out wish you were here i think he deserves a spot in this discussion

i think that anyone interested in pf knows about him.especially if ulisten to early works.one of my favorite songs is astronomy domine.and i think every floydan knows that shine on is about him.
