This child I hold a gift from heaven
My daughter, my life, and she is only seven.
She calls me Daddy and this I adore

A DELIGHT KEVIN AND I MUST THANK FOR SHARING...WOW

Valhalla
The road I dream through my heart
circled the icy mount,
pink sunset glorying ice
friends alike side by side.
All the laughter of youth,
red-bearded man with the ha-ha voice,
dark-haired man with fragile hands
and me hiding, riding along.
Through the streams of your breathing,
tumbled rocks to slip and stop,
I see you here and venture away,
holding me and slipping into past.
How long you have awaited reward,
caged by life's demands of protection,
living life for your children,
one door between insanity and heaven.
I must let you go. There's only place
for me here as a witness
the unsung heroes entering icy halls
and me with only a pen.
In your going the clock ticks slow
removing the wrinkles, the stains,
the pains and aloneness leaving memory
silvered, shed, splintered.
One hand holding a sucker, one kiss
of happy love given, one life ending
one new beginning, nothing lives
beyond the call of death.
But your happy laughter and the paired
friends, Loki and Wotan together at last.

Am a fan of your poetic art. This was different and more narration into it. I liked it. Especially the time flip and journeying back. I did not get the last line though but I guess they are some u have known and hence a recollection. Fine. I get a feeling or life circle with an example also..and makes me think so on and on

this is mine,,
O lay their in silence as your world nears its end,
with timeless memory's of forgotten archives to which were many
on the pale journey of long life, which means so much but to a few,
wrap up in comfort my thoughts of love, as you feel the streams of your breathing
and dream from your heart of hearts the timeless passion bestowed upon us in for gotten times
we are but rain drops in a forgotten sea of life,when old age is a wish for suicide to relieve the pain,
an as i watch you struggle with the with gentle gasp of time,my only console is a glimmering wish to follow,,
have we had so much that we feel the need to escape so quickly,
or is it a world of desperation that hurry"s us here for the want of an extra bed!
i fail to understand its true point, but as life is so complicated, is it not a short sight to seek to under stand something that has no meaning ,,
when all important things turn out to be nothing but emptiness in our shallow existence
when love for 50 yrs is only describable as a figure of time, did we know it as such
when the only thing we have brought to this day with us is the knowing its good to die
i shall not weep for you, as i weep for myself and my own endurances
and pray you go quickly from me
i have counted the years the hours ,and now the breaths, and as your cold hand penetrates my only feeling or reality in my cocoon of sadness
i hope its a hand held departure we meet this very day
such pleasures is difficult for others to understand now, but our world is not of their understanding , as old to them is but incompetence and a job,but we know different as you take your last few breaths, and the nurse insists on rushing me of to bed as she feels i need to sleep,,O how right she is
