About the Dingo and Kangaroo
The Dingo is on brink of extinction and now listed on the IUCN Red List as Vulnerable. There are small pockets of pure dingoes left in only some areas, but they remain a species listed as agricultural pests, so farmers destroy them. The dingo population has been severely threatened by the widespread eradication regimes such as poisoning, shooting, trapping and habitat loss. Dingoes are not dogs. They have always been a wild canine. Pure dingoes, like wolves, are still locked in genetically to annual breeding seasons. Australia holds the world record for mammal extinctions. It would be an abomination if dingoes were added to this list. Australia is now ranked the 4th highest in the world for the extinction of native species.

Dont know what dingoes have to do with racism!

Agree with your sentiment 100% but Dingoes are not actually native to Australia!!

The came with the Aboroginals approximately 60,000 years ago and have since then been been responsible for the extinction of how many mamal, reptile etc species and sub-species??

But we do directly blame extinction of the Thylacine (The Tazmanian Tiger) from mainland Australia on the dingo.

Now I dont know if 60,000 years makes them native or not but they certainly at least must be controlled if not eradicated in area's where other mamals are under threat, our native mamals are not bred to keep up with introduced species.

As a member of an ecological shooting society, I take anything that is not native to Australia out of the environment, cats, dogs, rabbits, foxes, goats, deer, wild pigs, cattle and horses, dingoes, Camels, donkeys, water buffalo and anything else that just isnt meant to be here.

Its the only way to ensure we follow a programm.

Eliminate threats,
restore habitats,
re-populate.
