sf in ads?

I am of the opinion that sf has a very significant influence on advertising clips. To sell something as modern you have to present it as futuristic, and that is best done in tv with sf motifs. If you watch closely you can see in almost every spot some sf elements. Take those car selling spots, I think from Peugeot or such, that use transformers! It looks ridiculous but it is something very, very fururistic. Another car spot shows how the ghosts of old car wrecks try to possess some new car, in vain of course. Nobody could have even imagined such things without science fiction!
