that is kind of a poitnless question, chere Pune, being given the dark gift, or when thou art born to darkness, does not mean thou wilt grow fangs, the transformation is internal, and if it has enough effect, some physical features might be affected, but it is mostly the mind, and the soul...thou shalt find the answers.

I was more interested in the 'transformation' from living to un-living...

This "Transformation" is nothing more than the imagenation of mere mortal men... Who say the real vampyres have fangs?

Darkrose has fangs!!!
Seriously, a mortal, kissed by the un-living must undergo some change. lets say, a child, when born has no teeth. Its after his teething that it becomes able to perform the most basic function of human life. Ergo, a newly kissed mortal has to get some 'tools' for his survival in the new un-life.

hear hear ! ... i want fangs ^_^ however there are some moral beings who have fangs in there mouths. They have unusually large fangs or kanines if you will and these traits are usually passed onto their children. hummm... i guess we have living vampires that are as appealling cuz, they eat burgers and only suck back juice and not blood. Well that all depends on how they eat their steak.

Well, actually, this depends on individual to individual. For example, for me, I hate fish, and seafood. But, most of us have some kind of standard "Bad food"...

(Note to self: When confronted with a vamp, a smelly garlic will work efficiently than a cross!!!!)

There are some fictions in which vampires may not eat regular foods, but there are also May fictions where the vampires may eat and choose not to.

Weather or not vampires eat sounds to me like a good subject for a new topic...

i think it depends on how a person changes from human to vamp and what that change does to his digestive system...
when u r getting nourishment from blood, it shud change ur system becuz then ur digestive tracts become useless...and in evolution...man loses what part of him becomes useless

I was born with long teeth, though it does not mean that I am born with the dark gift. IT IS a transformation from within. How else do you think the world of film and media could portray it? You cannot show something that you cannot fathom...

There will always be a transformation of some type. Weather it be the physical changes of a fictional vampire, or the physic/mental changes in a real vampire. The symbolism of change is still there.

The vampire will develop what 'tools' they need...

thanx...
i think the whole 'diff. of opinions' arise due to differences of those who were born with these 'tools' (pure blood) and those who were converted from humans to vamps...
damn, this all reeks of racism!!!! :P

Im not sure abut the whole Garlic thing, but i personally hate it lol. About Fangs, I also have " larger kanines. As well does a good friend of mine. I tease him often about being my vamp in dark armor!

hey..I had extra teeth as a child..unusually large canines with a set over them. Looked scary to others, but never bothered me. Everyone in my family had them . Some people ave them and some don't. I believe, though, the change is internal.
